Portfolio & Projects

This collection highlights my technical work — from architecting a full-featured homelab to deploying domain services, custom configurations, and collaborative infrastructure. Each project reflects hands-on experience, troubleshooting ability, and a deep interest in systems administration and networking.

Featured Projects

Homelab Infrastructure Build-Out

  • Designed and maintain a virtualization and routing environment using Proxmox, Windows Server 2022, OpenWrt, and mixed Intel/AMD hardware.
  • Deployed domain controllers, Linux and Windows clients, and custom firewall policies for secure segmentation.
  • Demonstrates enterprise-level system administration and troubleshooting in a self-hosted setting.

WireGuard VPN + VPS Integration

  • Built secure WireGuard VPN tunnels between my OpenWrt router, a collaborator’s network in Florida, and external VPS nodes.
  • Tuned routing, MTU, and encryption for seamless cross-site connectivity.
  • Enabled encrypted communication and resource sharing across distributed networks.

Asterisk VoIP System with ATA & IP Phone Integration

  • Deployed an Asterisk PBX supporting both analog handsets (Cisco SPA122 ATA) and SIP-native phones (Grandstream GXP1630).
  • Configured call routing and dial plans to emulate enterprise PBX features.
  • Implemented secure SIP/UDP networking and firewall rules to ensure call quality and controlled access.

Domain Services & Cross-Platform Integration

  • Administered Windows Server 2022 Active Directory domain controllers within Proxmox.
  • Integrated Windows 11 and Linux (Manjaro with SSSD/realmd) clients for centralized authentication.
  • Developed group policies, DNS settings, and account controls in a mixed-OS environment.

In Progress: C++ and Qt 6 Development

  • Learning modern C++ and the Qt 6 framework to build cross-platform desktop applications.
  • Exploring application structure, signal/slot patterns, and UI/UX design with Qt Designer.
  • Long-term goal: create IT-focused diagnostic and automation tools to complement systems expertise.
